Mission

Our mission is to advance energy conservation and energy education in a cooperative neighborhood-wide effort. Further, we will monitor progressive energy technologies with the goal of providing clean energy solutions in a cost-effective manner again in a cooperative manner.

Goals

Our goals for the Neighborhood Energy Trust:
1. Leverage the best pricing for all participants by negotiating with suppliers and contractors for products and services.

2. Provide a fulfillment center for ordering energy conservation audits and services;

3. Produce and provide communications to neighborhood residents and businesses about the Energy Trust and how to participate in reducing energy use, saving money, and conserving our shared natural resources;

4. Monitor progressive energy technologies;

5. Plan for implementation of progressive energy technologies as they become feasible;

6. Throughout this implementation investigate job training and job creation opportunities in these new technologies;

7. Promote a job training program with association and trade partnerships that engages those in our community in need of training and opportunity;

8. Share the knowledge with our larger community – serving as a pilot project for other communities to duplicate.
